I can’t explain why but this 1986 picture of the Sovran Bank Building interests me. I lived in Florida but somehow knew of Sovran Bank, a Virginia-based company with no presence in Florida. For years I confused “Sovran” with “Sovereign” and to this day I remember Sovran Bank when I see today’s Sovereign Bank. It is a mild fascination.
